We have nearly a century of experience with Kampers and families. We understand you have questions, and we want to help you answer them. If you would like more information about one of the answers below, give us a call at 417-266-3000.

Great question! Every child is growing towards independence and you know best where they are on that journey! If this is your child’s first experience away from home, summer camp can be a very safe and positive time of growth. We’ve found that kids do great when they are excited about the activities available at Kanakuk and parents have regular conversations with them about packing, planning for parties, and working on independent tasks they’ll do at Kamp.

If you just bought a Kamper Connect Package, please allow up to 15 minutes for your package selection to sync with the Kanakuk app and online.

If after 15 minutes you still don’t see your message credits or photos, this could be because you have used Bunk1 with a camp prior to Kanakuk. Bunk1 is our photo and messaging provider. If you have an old Bunk1 account with the same email address you use for My Kanakuk, you will need to either reset your My Kanakuk password to match your existing Bunk1 password, or reset your password on Bunk1.com.

Please click here to reset your password for My Kanakuk. Please let us know at appsupport@kanakuk.com if none of this works so that we can look into other potential causes.

When accessing photos.kanakuk or Bunk1, if it asks you for an invitation code, you should see a “Sign In” button on the top right of your screen that will let you put in your My Kanakuk email and password.

Place medications in a plastic bag along with instructions on an index card. All medications must be in the original container.

Trunks are not a requirement, but they make transporting and keeping luggage clean, organized, and convenient. Duffle bags and suit cases are welcome. Luggage may not be more than 15.5″ tall. A good source for trunks is www.trunkoutletkanakuk.com.

Packing lists and other important Kamp information can be found in the “Get Ready” menu on the main menu of the app.

Kamper messages can be added by upgrading your Kamper Connect Package. Click on “Connect” then “Kamper Connect Package” to see all of the details and to upgrade today.

Though you upgrade your Kamper Connect Package per Kamper, the message credits that are added are shared across all your Kampers.

If you feel like anything is incorrect with your registration you can click on the “Support” icon in the app to contact us.

If your child has not yet checked into Kamp, they may not have a photo to display yet. You can always add your own photo for your child’s registration by clicking “My Dashboard” from the app menu, going to their registration information, and editing the “Attendee Information.”

Inviting guests is easy. Click on the menu in the upper left corner and choose “Invite Family Member” to invite a guest to share in your account. Guests will have access to follow along with daily photos and send their own messages to all your Kampers.

A tagged photo is a photo that is recognized in our system as one of your children based on a match of your child’s check-in photo. If you have upgraded your Kamper Connect Package, you will be notified when new tagged photos come into your account for your child and given the opportunity to approve or deny the photo based on if it your child or not. The system is very smart but there may be a time when the photo is tagged incorrectly. Once you approve your child’s photo it will appear in your photo library within the app. Even if you choose not to upgrade your Kamper Connect Package for photo tagging, you will still have access to all of the great daily photo memories from your child’s Kamp.

Absolutely! We have many single parents who bring their children and have a fantastic time! Some of our speakers may emphasize the marriage relationship in their teaching, but since we also cover topics like conflict resolution, raising children in today’s world, etc – there is always something for everyone.

Each of our cabanas is very similar to a large motel room- with sleeping for six. There is a queen sized bed, a couch that comes out to a double, a set of bunk beds, and two private bathrooms.

K-Kauai opens at 4:00 PM on Opening Day!

Check out is after breakfast on the last day of the term. Most families are gone by 10:00 am.

We share a doctor with K-Kountry, a neighboring Kamp. However, we have nursing staff available at K-Kauai and are a five minute drive away from a quality hospital.

Our KampOut! app provides all the information you need about KampOut!. You can download it below!

All cancellations must be submitted in writing or e-mailed to
reg@kanakuk.com. Any event cancelled before May 15 will receive a full refund of tuition. After May 15 and leading up to 7 days before your KampOut! Event cancellation will result in a forfeit of a $100 deposit. Within 7 days of the event, and during the week of Kamper will forfeit the entire tuition fee.

Opening and closing ceremonies are some of the most exciting parts of your Kamper’s stay at Kanakuk! During our opening ceremony, Kampers will make new friends as they participate in tons of fun activities together, meet their counselors, and get settled in with their new cabin-mates. During closing ceremonies, parents get to meet their Kamper’s counselors, attend the awards ceremonies, and hear about some extra-special ways their Kamper has modeled Christ during that term. Closing ceremonies also offer the earliest opportunity for next summer’s re-enrollment!
